“Maybe the roof was never only a shelter, but also the fifth façade — a trace of today woven into the building’s story, worth to look up to.”
FM - Rooftop
This rooftop extension in Budapest explored the idea of the roof as the fifth façade of a building. Instead of treating it as a hidden technical layer, the design gave it a sculptural, decorative presence, adding a distinctive volume that reshaped the character of the entire structure. The project investigated how an architectural addition above the city skyline could become not just an extension, but a statement — visible, expressive, and integrated into the building’s identity.
