The meeting rooms don’t just serve a function — maybe they transform the everyday work routine into something unexpected. By turning conference spaces into theatrical stages, the design reshapes the mood, making work feel less like a task and more like a shared experience.
Kapsch 24
Kari Kapsch, owner and General Manager of Kapsch CarrierCom, a globally recognized leader in telematics solutions, led an innovative project that redefined modern work environments in Austria. Under her leadership, employees played an integral role in the design of 24 uniquely themed meeting spaces within the company’s headquarters.
Through a series of collaborative workshops, the concept of conference rooms styled as theatrical stages emerged—each room offering a distinctive atmosphere and a refreshing departure from conventional office spaces.
The resulting sense of employee connection to the workplace is considered unmatched in Austria. In recognition of this pioneering approach, Kapsch was honored with the “Beste Arbeitswelt 2014” (Best Working Environment 2014) award, as well as the prestigious German Design Award in 2018.
