“ Maybe a shooting range could be a meeting place — for sport, for focus, for shared moments beyond the target. “
WB Shooting range
Just 30 minutes from Budapest, on the green outskirts of Budakeszi, this contemporary shooting range offers a refined yet functional environment for amateurs, hobbyists, and professionals alike. Shaped in a clean triangular form that follows the site’s natural contours, the building is more than a sporting venue – it also serves as a vibrant community hub.
The dynamic, pavilion-style structure greets visitors with a bold yet elegant facade, while the shooting tracks — including 100m, 30m, and Schiesskino lanes — are tucked away in the basement to ensure discretion and acoustic comfort. On the ground floor and within the upper pavilion, visitors can enjoy a welcoming café, a shop, administrative offices, and flexible areas designed for exhibitions and events.
A carefully restrained material palette of exposed concrete and fiber cement is thoughtfully balanced by softer elements — a reflective water feature and a pergola-covered terrace abundant with greenery. With a total floor area of 1,650 m², the project reached completion in the spring of 2022, setting a new standard for sporting architecture that merges functionality with atmosphere.
