“Maybe what a family of six needs isn’t just beautiful, durable furniture — but pieces that carry weight and life, built from honest materials and grounded in function, yet full of subtle, playful details that bring joy to everyday moments.”
GSG 6
Our client, living in a beautiful and spacious Altbau apartment in Vienna, approached us with the wish to create custom furniture that would complement the elegance of their classical home while bringing in a sense of lightness and playfulness. The project included three key pieces: a welcoming entrance garderobe, a long dining room sideboard, and practical yet imaginative bunk beds for the children.
With a large family of four children, the design needed to balance refined aesthetics with everyday functionality. Our goal was to create furniture that felt timeless and harmonious within the historical context of the apartment, while also offering clever solutions for storage, organization, and family life.
By keeping the forms simple yet full of character, we designed pieces that seamlessly integrate into the apartment’s traditional architecture while also reflecting the family’s vibrant lifestyle. Each element was thoughtfully crafted to be both practical and durable, ensuring that the furniture not only enhances the beauty of the home but also supports the rhythm of daily life for years to come.
